Tony Veal Award
Harmonie Concert Band was formed in the early 1980’s by Tony Veal. Tony became head of Solihull Music Service in the 1970’s and guided the service from its early beginnings to become a successful, creative, and vibrant service where children and young people had the opportunity to express their creativity to the full. Tony was very passionate about giving every child and young adult within the borough of Solihull the opportunity to express themselves through music many of which have gone on to have successful careers in the music industry. Over the years, the Music Service has developed and evolved to become an ever more inclusive space for people who want to make music.
